The wax prevents colour from adhering when applied on bisque and greenware.
How to use:
Apply a smooth layer of Wax Resist to the desired areas.
If you glaze over the Wax Resist, the glaze will pull away, when the glaze is liquid enough.
Glaze or glaze drops that stick to the Wax, are easy to remove with a brush or sponge before the glaze has dried. If those drops are not removed before firing, the droplets can burn on the workpiece when the wax has burnt away, or it can happen that these droplets fall on the kiln plate or on other workpieces during firing.
Attention, if you do not use glaze under the wax, this part is unglazed and you will see the clay body.
If the brush is dipped in detergent, it’s easy to clean with water after use.
Wax Resist that is applied too thick can remain sticky.
